Tiny origami-based windshield wiper for laparoscopes

NSF-supported graduate student Jacob Sheffield at Brigham Young University created this tiny origami-based device that serves as a miniature windshield wiper for the lenses of laparoscopes. Called LaparoVision, the device earned Sheffield the title of "2021 Student Innovator of the Year" at BYU.
