Great American Solar Eclipse (Image 10)
Early in the day of Aug. 21, 2017, National Science Foundation (NSF) Director France Córdova was in Glendo, Wyoming, to observe the Great American solar eclipse. She took this photo before the eclipse reached totality using her cellphone and a telescope.
