All media in the gallery are intended for personal, educational and nonprofit/non-commercial use only.
Videos credited to the National Science Foundation, an agency of the U.S. Government, may be distributed freely. However, some materials within the videos may be copyrighted. AI on Breast Cancer!
The Discovery FilesUltrasound breast exams, while an important tool, have caused numerous false breast cancer diagnoses. A team of NSF-funded researchers have developed an AI computer program trained to see distinctive patterns in thousands of ultrasound breast images, helping physicians to diagnose breast cancer more accurately.
