New AI model can reveal crystalline structures
X-ray crystallography works best with intact crystals, but in powdered form, it is more challenging to piece together the overall structure. This illustration represents a new computational model created by researchers that can use powder X-ray crystallography data to predict the structure of crystalline materials.
