Antbirds in Panamanian jungle follow army ants to find food
Researchers discovered that antbirds (pictured here) in the Panamanian jungle follow army ants as they march through leaf litter consuming their prey. The insects that escape the ants by flight, like grasshoppers, katydids and crickets, are quickly devoured by the birds trailing behind the swarm.
