Gemini South during laser operation
The Gemini South Telescope in Chile is seen with laser blazing during laser operations using the Gemini Multi-conjugate Adaptive Optics System (GeMS)/Gemini South Adaptive Optics Imager (GSAOI). The laser-guided advanced optics system cancels out atmospheric turbulence caused by the Earth's atmosphere during observations.
