Comic book legend Stan Lee encourages high school students to visit www.NSF.gov/GenNano and learn more about NSF's Generation Nanotechnology competition.
Stan Lee is an American comic book writer, editor, publisher, media producer, television host, actor, and former president and chairman of Marvel Comics, having led its expansion from a small division of a publishing house to a large multimedia corporation. Lee is best known for his creation of comic book superheroes, such as Spider-Man, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Thor and the X-Man. The Stan Lee Foundation, founded in 2010, focuses on literacy, education and the arts. Lee's interest in the science that underlies the powers of his superheroes underlies his support for NSF's GenNano competition.
