Learning by doing: GEO-funded projects build a STEM workforce through immersive experiences
Undergraduate students explore careers in STEM and gain hands-on research experience in geoscience with a week at sea. Student cohorts sail with experienced faculty and graduate student near-peer-mentors and engage in geoscience and oceanography activities.

GEOPAths GO: Jamaica, an NSF-funded research project, is building an earth science learning ecosystem in Jamaica and at the University of Texas at Austin. The team conducts cutting-edge research on critical coastal ecosystems in Jamaica and Texas and how they are impacted by anthropogenic change.
