More than 200 bird species in six rapidly developing regions are at risk of extinction despite not being included on the IUCN "Red List" of at-risk species. Incorporating information from remote sensing and other modern geospatial technologies into the Red List assessment process could significantly improve its accuracy, timeliness and usefulness, the study shows.Full Story
